Today you will fly to the heart of the Namib Desert. When your plane arrives in Sossusvlei you will find yourself at the edge of the world’s oldest desert. You will be staying in your own bungalow – and best of all – a deck on the roof on which you can sleep out under the sky.
Day 3: Sossusvlei
Begin with an introduction to the landscape and the natural life of the desert with your ranger. Take a 4 x 4 vehicle for an early morning visit to the legendary Sossusvlei Dunes, where you will find a petrified forest. Your day will include desert walks, great meals, and a sunset drive.
Day 4: Huab River Valley

Day 5 and 6: Huab River Valley
Today you will take part in nature drives and walks and mountain-biking. You will see species such as desert-adapted elephant, gemsbok, greater kudu springbok, cheetah, and black rhino. This area has some of Africa’s best rock engravings as well.

Spend your days on guided walks and drives with a special opportunity to track white rhino and go birding.

Day 13: Cape Town
Together with your expert guide, experience Cape Peninsula and the legendary Cape Point, feared by seafarers. Move on to the lovely Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, considered one of the the finest floral kingdoms in the world.
Day 14: Cape Winelands
Today you will enjoy a full day in the scenic Winelands, including tastings at some of South Africa’s finest wine estates – by car and bicycle. You will stop and enjoy a leisurely midday picnic. Visit the town of Stellenbosch on your way to the Grootbos Reserve. Check in at the Grootbos Forest Lodge – an enormous 5 estate along the shores of the Indian Ocean.
Day 15 and 16: Hermanus
Enjoy guided nature walks, go horseback-riding through the forest, and explore tidal rock pools and coastal caves. Savor the gourmet food on the menu at the lodge.
Day 17 and 18: KwaZulu Natal
Today you will fly to Durban where you will be met and escorted to KwaZulu Natal. The Zulu War of 1879, famous for its battles, took place here. At this award-winning lodge, guides will lead you through the reserve on horseback, while telling you about its history and enjoying nature.
