Highlights of your day: the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Guimaraes, where Portugal’s first king, Alfonso Henriques was born. Visit the quietly beautiful Romanesque cloister of the church of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira. View the delicate filigree jewelry native to Viana do Castelo.
